Due West Families –
We are very sorry to share the news that we have to cancel our Spring Fling that was scheduled for April 24th. We are hopeful that we will be able to reschedule this even next year as we believe it will be a great family event, and an excellent fundraiser for our school We, of course, don’t have any details worked out, but look forward to sharing them when we are able!
We are aware that many people have already donated either money or items for their class basket. If you purchased items, from a wish list or something similar, and would like the PTA to hold these items until we are able to hold the Silent Auction, we can gratefully do this. If you would like to get a refund for these items, please work with your room mom to facilitate this. If you donated money and are wanting a refund, your room mom will get that back to you as quickly as possible. If you wish to allow the PTA to be able to use these funds in the future – please let your room mom know that as well.
I wanted to thank everyone for the grace, patience, and understanding about this decision. Trust me – it wasn’t an easy one. We were looking forward to the rides, cake walk, petting zoo, and the Silent Auction.
The PTA is proud of what we are able to accomplish for our teachers. We love being able to provide grants for our teachers, to provide trainings, new art tables, programs such as the Science Fair, Reflections, and the Spelling Bee for our kids. We love being able to put on events for our families such as the Family Picnic, Holiday Elves, & Bingo Night. We are proud that we are able to help Due West with landscaping, the garden, and other needs that our faculty and staff bring to our attention.
